In 2008, Rev. Dr. Tamara England Wilson, founded Nu Season Nu Day Ministry, Inc., a Christ- Centered ministry which focused on empowering and equipping women to discover and fulfill their God-given purpose, while assisting in the development of healthy ‘sistahly’ relationships. At God’s leading, in September 2015, Nu Season Nu Day Church & Ministries, was established with Rev. Wilson as its pastor.
Rev. Wilson was licensed and ordained by the Enon Baptist Church in Baltimore Maryland where she served for several years as Assistant Minister. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences from the University of Maryland and pursued graduate studies in Speech/Language Pathology at Loyola College. She also earned a Master of Arts degree in Theology from the St. Mary’s Seminary and University and a Doctorate of Ministry degree from the United Theological Seminary in Trotwood Ohio.
Rev. Wilson has a passion for empowering women and helping them achieve their God ordained best. She is the author of The Journey To Self: Who Knows What A Woman Can Be When She Is Free To Be Herself and recently founded Journey Ministries with a mission to empower women embrace their authentic selves. Rev. Wilson is also very passionate about the development and strengthen of the community. Currently, she serves as a chaplain for the Northern District of the Baltimore City Police Department and was appointed by Governor Larry Hogan to serve as a Commissioner for the Maryland Commission on African American History and Culture, and the Maryland Commission for Women. She is an active member of the Baltimore Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and serves as the Vice Chair of the Political and Social Action Committee.
Above all things, Dr. Wilson is married to Deacon Ernest Wilson, Jr. and is the proud mother of two daughters, Morgan and Kristen. As a woman called by God to preach and teach the gospel message, she counts it an honor and all joy to be used by Him for His glory.
